Season 3 Episode 38
Hi P-Soupers - this week it's part one of my chat with psychologist, author and anxiety specialist, Dr Eric Goodman.
You'll hear how Eric developed his career in psychology after his experience of an unfulfilling management role. He shares the evolution of his approach to his specialism – anxiety, OCD, persistent worry, fears and phobias – which amongst other things combines cognitive behavioural therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, exposure therapy and compassion focussed therapy. We also have a fascinating chat about his use of virtual reality. The conversation leads us up to a glimpse of his book –- Your Anxiety Beast and You: A Compassionate Guide to Living in an Increasingly Anxious World – which we’ll delve into much more in part 2.
